But, marketing trends change over time. This means you will have to pay attention to trends as they come and go in order to reach your full marketing potential. Here are some of the trends we think every business should pay attention to\u2013 especially cleaning and lawn care businesses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">1. Before and after<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Before and afters are amazing, especially for cleaning and lawn care businesses. It shows your client the quality of your work while also showing them a part of your portfolio. If you wanted to spice things up, you could also show a photo or video of the in-between process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">2. Short-form video<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Videos are in right now! Many consumers prefer videos to images because a video directs their attention, compared to reading a post or analyzing a photo. You could show videos of you at work, introducing yourself, or showing some BTS clips. Really, what you film is up to you. But, consider adding short-form videos to your marketing strategy. (Keep in mind that this is <em>short-form<\/em>. It\u2019s important not to bore your audience with videos that are too long.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">3. TikTok<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Speaking of short-form video, TikTok is extremely popular right now. If you don\u2019t already have one, start one right away. One of the best parts of TikTok is that it will automatically show your videos to viewers interested in those topics. That way, you reach an audience that is already interested in your products. Plus, TikTok is a good way to incorporate fun videos into your marketing plan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">4. SEO<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>If you\u2019re not using SEO, you need to start. SEO stands for search engine optimization. It is a way to design your website to optimize it for search engines. Essentially, this means that your website will rank higher on search engines and your website will appear further up on searches with relevant keywords. This makes it easier for potential customers to find your business.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">5. Audio content<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Audio content is a new trend to incorporate into your marketing. It\u2019s a great way to inform the viewer without overwhelming them with a long post. For a cleaning business, you could explain what products you\u2019re using. For a lawn care business, you could explain your process. But, be careful not to use too much audio content. You don\u2019t want your audience to feel like they\u2019re listening to an audiobook.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Once you start using these trends, pay attention to what works and what doesn\u2019t. Then, once you find out what your audience likes, you can tailor your marketing plan even further.
